XML Drop Down List Whiteout...

I do not know much about XML, so I am seeking help with an XML utility I am trying to use in my CAD Software. When I run the XML utility a dialog box opens with a drop down list from which to choose material description from. The list drops down, but only the left half of the description is viewable and the rest of the right half is white. What might be causing this and/or where do I look to find the problem? Is it in the .xsd schema file? Its the only thing causing problems with the functionality of the utility, but its a big problem.

Can you post all or part of the XML file? What's the name of the utility you're running? Have you tried contacting the author of the utility?

I am using a customizable utility from

called swCP3. I emailed the developer, but he said he is not currently supporting the utility, because his time is being drained on other projects. In my investigation, I think it has something to do with "ColumnCount", but I have been unable to track down what is controlling the dialog box and its features. I downloaded PE Explorer to dig through the files that are packaged with this utility, but most of them are common windows dll and ocx files, which I don't think I'd want to mess with. I don't know what .lib or .exp files are for or what will edit them, so I don't know if that is where my information is. If you visit the site and download the utility there is a .cab folder packaged in the zip with all the goodies (xml,xsd,dll,etc.). Any help would be appreciated...its becoming very frustrating.

Since it has links to XML editors in the product description, I'd say it expects your settings to be in the XML files.

I've downloaded it to monkey with, although I don't have CAD software.

I contacted the developer, again, and asked about the "ColumnCount" option. He said that he didn't write the function into the utility and that if he had time in the future he might add it. Is that something you have to code into the schema (.xsd) file or is that something you can just code into the .xml file? In his example .xml file in the download, the drop-down list was designed to show the material <x> and its density <y>. I don't want the drop-down list to show the <y> variable, just the <x>.
