XML crashes on ë ü é etc. in text

Hi all,

I've made a script in PHP that will get information from a database and puts
it in xml.

This is working fine, but only when it has an é ü etc. in the text it
crashes with the message:

Illegal character found in text.....

Whats can i do about it.....

I've tried a lot of things but it wont work... can u give me an example of the encoding?

Try using this encoding:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
