I've never connect a XM24 expansion module to a 6424D+ on an IP 500 v2 unit. I'm noticing that when I put a USER appearance on any of the XM24 button, I can use it to dial but it doesn't light up to give an indication that the user is on the phone. When I program the same USER button on any one of the buttons on the 6424D+, it lights up just fine. I've search for all sorts of different 3 pair cable pin-outs and no matter which style I use, the results are the same. I'm using a 1151A1 power supply with this set up ? Am I missing something ? Do the buttons just not light up ? Please advise.

Did you try it on the IP500 itself or on one of your expansion modules?

It works! Now if only I could remember what I did...

Well, they're just using the 500 as the "brains". There are no boards in the 500 itself. So all of the extensions are on the expansion modules. Nothing is plugged into the modules yet other than the phone I was working on so I know it isn't an issue where it's drawing too much power.
