I just loaded Office 2000 and all the applications seem to be working properly. However, when I open Excel, a message box pops up and tells me that 'C:\WINNT\System32\sbfm.xla' could not be found. When I click 'OK' the program opens and seems, although I haven't used it, to work correctly. Is this a file that I must have or is it a glitch that was created while I was loading Office. Also, how can I get the message to not appear every time the program is opened.

Thank you,
jcfrasco

Tools-Addins. You've got a checkmark in one of them, and the addin is not in the Addins folder, so Excel can't find it. By have it checkmarked, you're telling Excel to load it when you open Excel. Basically, removing the checkmark will fix the error message. However, you might want to find that file and move it into the folder it's looking in.
