Xla crash problem

Hi,

I have created an xla in excel97.

It's running fine when excel is already open (with or without an open workbook). But when excel is not running and I click on the xla icon to start my xla program, excel crashes when it tries to run my xla file (not when it's loading the built-in xla's from Microsoft).

I want people to run the xla by clicking on the xla icon and not opening excel and then clicking on the xla icon.

Does anyone know what is going on?
