Excel 2003.

I have a procedure that I added to my personal.xls file earlier today. It has subsequently disappeard along with the shortcut key I assigned it from the macro list (Alt+F8)...

This is a little disturbing to me as I can see 6 other macros I expect to see and everything is in the same module.

I tried copying and pasting the procedures to a new workbook and replacing my personal.xls with the new workbook to no avail.

What am i missing?

Does your new macro, contain a calling argument?

VBA (macro) questions ought to be posted in forum707.

Please post your MACRO CODE in forum707, along with your question.

Oops, lost track of that forum...

And yes it does has 2 optional calling arguments....

Odd, it appears in the list with 1 but not 2. Someone didn't think that through.

As always skip thanks for making me look where it matters.

I believe that a sub with ANY argument, optional or not, would fail to appear in your macro list. How could you supply any argument, running from the macro list?

I can't supply a parameter running from the macro list... That is why it is optional, so I don't have to. [tongue]

I tested it and with exacltly 1 optional parameter it appears in the list. The second kills it.

The code that I was directed to takes a sheetname as an optional parameter and works the Activesheet if blank. My change for default repeated behavior was to have it start with the selected row and process down to save time... So this was an optional boolean parameter I added with a default of true.

The only thing I didn't test is if I add a default value to the one optional parameter...

Since you are curious here is the starting thread...

Again, macro stuff is best discussed in forum707.

My change for default repeated behavior was to have it start with the selected row and process down to save time... So this was an optional boolean parameter I added with a default of true
You may have a problem with your logic, IF you are using the Select method and/or ActiveCell for some other sheet, which is NOT ACTIVE.

The only logic problem I had was using reason trying to understand where my proc went in the macro list. Remove reason, and realize a programmer at microsoft made a bug... all is good for this thread.
