xircom RBEM56G-100 realport cardbus network and modem

hi, i have just bought a near new xircom RBEM56G-100 ethernet and modem to install on my old toshiba satellite pro 480cdt laptop but it doesn't seem to run. Can anyone tell me the installation instructions etc. many thanks

I also had a problem w/pcmcia card in my Toshiba Satellite pro with a 32 bit card. When I used a 16 bit, it seems to work fine. I don't know if it is a Toshiba proprietary issue or not. You may want to find someone with a 16 bit card and trade. Good luck!!

Toshiba's have a bios setting for 16/32 bit (Cardbus=32 bit)
Find the pc card controller mode. You do not want this on auto.. this does not work well.. Set it to cardbus/16 bit or the other one pcic i think. Just try which one owrks with your card
