Xinetd failed to stop

[XFW]

I could not successfully stop the Xinetd after messing up with the WU-FTP server. I removed the WU-FTP server, however, I still can not successfully stop the Xinetd. I looked at the log files at /var/log/messages. It keep saying that line 14, 'anonymous' bad parameter. Any idea. I checked the xinetd.conf and I could not locate 'anonymous'

Try this:

grep 'anonymous' /etc/xinetd.d/*

It should show which file is responsible. //Daniel

xinetd takes sigusr 1 ...
You should really rtfm, all the info is there..
