Hi,
I have noticed a difference between XI ( R2) and CE10 in the way large reports display the first page of data to the user..

In CE10, the first page is shown as soon as it is populated, even when there is a 'page n of m' item on the page ( in the report footer)..
In XI R2, having that same item prevents any page display until ALL the records have been returned.

Have I missed a configuration setting, or did it just change?

That is odd that Cryst6al can accurately display the page n of m prior to completing the report.

Was it correct in CE 10?

In Crystal 8.5, I wrote a report that had a subreport at the detail line level. I later re-wrote it to work more efficiently, but in that case I did notice that it showed 'page n of m' while still working on the subreports. But the 'm' was a ludicrously high number that was only fixed when the report finished.

Hi,
My bad..In the CE10 version,it only had a Page n, not a Page n of m..

Sorry ...When viewing 2 versions of the same report, I sometimes fail to notice which one is displayed..

Hi again..
(I hate Fridays...[banghead])

The CE10 version of the report does, in fact, use
'Page N of M' in the Page footer..When the First page displays, however, it only shows as Page 1 ( Not Page 1 of x)..

In XI, it only shows any output after all 8 pages have been loaded and then the first page shows Page 1 of 8.
