I am reading a pre-formatted text file that may conain all sorts of characters i.e. &,:><

I know I can use the <pre> tag to keep the formatting, but what tag can I use that tells the browser to ignore anything within this range.

Thanks!
Barry

Has xhtml changed the behavoir of not displaying content of tags it doesn't recognize? If not <garbage>alsdkjf</garbage> will work for you.
