XF86Config Problems 1

I just installed SuSE 9 on my workstation with a Matrox G550 Card and 2 A90F Viewsonic monitors. Everytime I try to run sax2, my monitor shutsdown and I have to hard boot to get anything to come back up. (Ctrl-Alt-Backspace doesn't work)
I have tried to run sax2 -l with the same results.

I also tried to edit XF86config by hand and remove all the modelines that I didn't need and left the one in that would work on my monitor. I get the same results when I startx, my monitor shutsdown and I can't kill the Xserver to get back to the CLI.

The log file doesn't really point to anything obvious ether.

Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks in advance!

What is that sax2?

Did you install an binary, or did you compile it on your own?
Did you try to find the most recent sax2.tar.bz?

I would first try this (after being bad informed from logfiles).

sax2 is an Xconfigurator that is packaged with SuSE. I installed the latest and greatest and I have the same results.

OK, I fixed it. I don't really understand why, but when I changed my AGP Apeture Size in the BIOS from 64mb to 32mb it works like a champ.
