Xerox Phaser 860 13.003.42 error

hi all
i have an xerox phaser 860 that is intermittently given the 13.003.42 error
i found on the web that this is possibly the print head
can anyone tell me if this is correct or if i should be checking something else first
i expect that the print head will be expensive, and i want to make sure that it is the issue with my printer

It is a printhead failure. Xerox has recently restructured their pricing fees for head replacements. For an 860 xerox will charge $550 parts and labor flat fee. The head purchased separately lists for $850 but a credit will be given upon return of the old one. An ASP may be able to give you a better rate based upon their individual labor rates. You can find one in your area via the Xerox web site.
