This Xerox Phaser 7700 was delivered to our shop/warehouse and I noticed a broken accumulator(transfer) belt. I installed a new accumulator belt assembly and all I get is an ERROR 30, indicating that the belt is not moving to the home position. I have no service documentation for the Phaser 7700. Is there a diagnostic mode or reset function?[sad]

there is a tech rep faults that need to be cleared. if a particular error occurs 3 times then it needs to be cleared after the problem is resolved. to do this you need to enter service diags, turn printer off, hold down the back and information buttons at the same time and power the printer on, continue holding until you see service diags on front panel. scroll to nvram access and enter its sub menu and go to clear tech rep faults. under this sub menu will be 4-5 options of erros to clear, the first one should be for error 30-belt home to long. highlight it and press ok and the fault should be reset. while in that menus you may want to reset all of them to be on the safe side. hope this helps.
