Dear all,
we have installed a Xerox printer on a system running Solaris 10 10/08
using this command:

#lpadmin -p xerox_p -s localhost -v socket://IP -m uri -A write -n /usr/lib/lp/model/ppd/system/foomatic/Xerox/xr_p4500.ppd
-o banner=always -I postscript -u allow:all

The printer is running very well except for printing duplex pages by the lp command.
I tried to print with -o DuplexNoTumble or with -o sides=two-sided-long-edge but without success.

Does anybody know the correct option -o ???? to do duplex printing and/or does one have to modify the xr_p4500.ppd file?

THX, Rainer

An addition:
Is there a (lp?) command in order to find out all printing
options from the PPD file?

Rainer

I think the easiest way is through the CUPS administration web page. Also lpoptions -p <printername> -l should list them.

Annihilannic.
