Xerox 8560 Upgrade?

I have a Xerox 8560. I also have a Xerox 8860 that is not functioning properly. Can I replace the Ink Loader from the 8860 unit on the 8560 and still have the printer function? Posts I have read indicate these are essentially identical machines with the exception of this part. I would like to use the cheaper ink sticks from the 8860 in the other unit without melting them down and recasting into a mold.
