My customer has several Xerox 7700 color laser printers with the same problem of getting a paper jam when attempting to use Tray 2. Tray 2 is the first tray of the Lower Tray Deck (LTD). The paper is picked and fed through the Paper Feed Assembly into the path shared by Trays 3 and 4 but will stop just as it reaches the vicinity of Tray 1 (Tray 1 is an integral component of the printer) and cause a Paper Jam Error. I have swapped or exchanged the Paper Feed Assembly and all the different rollers but the problem still persists; I have even replaced the entire Lower Tray Deck to no avail. Trays 3 and 4 work fine with no paper jams at all. Does anyone have any knowledge of this problem or any possible solutions?
