Hi,
I've searched the usual places for help on this and have drawn a blank, so any advice would be appreciated.
We have several 7300B printers across a couple of sites. Yesterday a fault where the paper tray could not be removed from one of them was reported. I went to the site and confirmed this to be the case. Whilst investigating I noticed that the metal sheet that supports the paper as it feeds out of the tray (don't know the proper name) wouldn't push down. Underneath this I noticed a piece of metal sticking in to the tray through the hole in the side of the paper tray.
I've partially stripped another machine this morning to try and work out what it is, and it looks like the piece of metal that pushes the paper feed up. I've worked out how to make it drop down if the paper tray is removed (i.e. pushing the white 'button' down the side, which the paper tray normally hits as it's inserted), but without completely stripping the printer, which I don't really want to do. I can't see any way to release it whilst the tray is still in place.
Any ideas?
