Hi

I am in the process of migrating my users from metaframe to xenapp. Internally, this is going well but I am having difficulty setting things up for those users who connect using the web interface.

My setup is currently like this:

Metaframe farm
Xenapp farm
Xenapp web interface connecting to metaframe server
Routing/access from external IP to the metaframe server is via ISA server

What I want to achieve is using the current single external IP for connection (therefore no client reconfig). This IP comes into the ISA server and is then directed to either a Metafame server or a Xenapp server depending on AD user group membership. I can then migrate users simply by changing their AD group membership.

Any advice on whether this should be configured on either the ISA server or on the Xenapp WI?

I am trying to do this migration without having to talk a whole load of remote users through changing IP addresses for their connections.

Thanks

Rog

Why are you using an ISA server rather than Citrix Secure Gateway?

That's a good point. The answer is basically because I have only been here a few weeks and that's how it was when I got here!

I've used CSG but have never set it up on a live system. Can you set it up and configure it side by side with ISA already doing the job?

Downtime is very precious here which is why I am trying to come up with solutions that co-exist for the slickest of transitions.

Cheers
