Hello

I have a linux machine running redhat 7.3. I have enabled the XDMCP broadcast. I can see the machine for on a windows machine running exceed, that is in the same subnet. I am unable to see the machine on another windows machine which is in another subnet.

If I ping the linux machine from the second computer I do get a reply.

If anybody has any reason why I cant see the linux machine on exceed please tell me.

Thanks

The reason you can not see it on a different subnet is because the router stops the local broadcasts. There is an easy fix for this, put a helper on the router for the linux box. or, dont broadcast to it at all, connect directly.
