I have an 81C with one xcmc card installed in loop 24 x x.
I also have loops 4, 8 and 20. Do I need to have one of these XCMC cards in each loop or is just the one that I have in loop 24 sufficient?

The reason behind the question is that I am having trouble with MWI on the newly installed analog 9316cw's. The MWI either won't light when there are msgs or the light is lit when there are no msgs. Around the same time as the 9316 upgrades we put in the XCMC card in loop 24. I have no trouble with digital sets.

I have noticed that I have had no trouble reports with sets that are on loop 24(the loop with the XCMC card)

Previous to the 9316 installs we were using non caller ID 8314's and didn't need the XCMC card. All MWI's worked fine.

you need zero xmodem cards for msg lamps.. you do need to turn on lamp audit as well as put ld 30 in your drol

You need Messaging waiting line cards to have a messaging waiting light on an Analog phone. Verify the cards that don't work are MW/LC

The cards are the correct Msg WTG cards. The failures are totally random.

John--My vendor said same as you about the zero cards for msg wtg lamps. Where does this lamp audit get turned on? If its not turned on wouldn't that account for never lighting the lamp? Keep in mind this problem is intermittent.

I don't understand the part about putting load 30 in the drol. Could you explain that a little. My vendor will probably understand, but I would like to know also.
Thanks

48 volt 81C PBX. Can anyone tell me how the pbx lights the MWI on analog sets? Meaning, is there a voltage or tone sent to the set? If voltage, is it AC or DC and how much?

Thanks.
