Hi,

I'm using XML maps to try to have dynamic data in Xcelsius 2008. Every time I try to use the Connection Refresh Button, I just get old data.

The original XML file had 4 days of data. I mapped it to an Excel file and loaded that into Xcelsius. I appended the XML file with a 5th day of data. When I hit the Connection Refresh, the 5th day doesn't show up. If I refresh the data in the Excel file (in Xcelsius), the data shows up and it's populated in the preview, but if I hit the refresh button the that extra day of data disappears and I'm stuck with the original 4 days of data.

Anyone know what's going on here?

Thanks

Sounds like your source range is only four rows deep. The XML data is probably populating the fifth row, but Xcelsius doesn't know to look there.

If so, extend the range to what you think the max number of days you will have, and be sure to check "Ignore Blank Cells".

I've got the data area maxed out at 518 or whatever it is. The report is only using about 100 of it now. I'm also using a combo box with filtered rows.

Like I said, if I directly refresh the XML data in the Excel Sheet, the new data populates, and the new dates show in the Combo Box. If it hit the refresh button in the dashboard, it goes back to only seeing the original 4 days of data.

You're sure the named range that the XML references is also defined as all 518 rows? That would explain your symptoms.

I've got no idea. The XML file I'm using is a straight Access export.

It's a start. I'll look into it. Thanks.
