Hi,
Does any one know how to use MQSeries as XA TM and SQL Server 2000 as XA RM?
There are a few samples with MQSereis for Oracle, DB2 and Sybase, but nothing for SQL Server or MSDTC. The information from Microsoft is as poor as from IBM.

Thanks Anders

IMHO SQL Server is not XA compliant, so you cannot do it.
You can find it also in MQSeries manuals.

Hi Leonid,
Thanks for the answer. I am sorry if I asked a stupid question, you are right SQL Server 2000 is not XA compliant.
I should have been more clear in my thoughts. I still want to use XA and the question should be: I want to use MQ as XA TM and MSDTC as XA RM. What should I do to make it work?

I am a little curious over where you find that sql server is not xa compliant in mq documentation. I have searched and searched, but not find anything.

Thanks Anders

Hi Anders,
I never tried to use MSDTC with MQ. It also is not documented in MQ manuals. You can try it, but without official support it just doesn't worth it.
About SQL Server - I meant it's not found in XA compliant database table in MQ manuals.
