After the install of Presentation Server 4.0 x64 (well thats what Citrix called the image anyway) on a Windows 2003 Server Standard R2 x64 bit operating system (Dual Opteron, 2gb RAM etc)

The only process that i can see of citrix that seems to be 64 bit is ctxsfosvc64.exe.

There are a massive number of other citrix related services running as *32 (when looking at the process tab in task manager)

Is this usual? or have I in some way stuffed the rather simple install process of the 64Bit presentation server?

Hope you can help!
Cheers

We were under the impresison that 64bit windows would simply be just a better solution for a "easy upgrade"

Is it going to chew up more RAM when it shouldnt be?
Either way ive found nothing but issues trying to install 32bit apps... sigh

Cheers

Using 64 bit hardware is a slam dunk, because all CPUs being sold today are 64bit, however using 64 bit OS is a much bigger leap, which you should thoroughly investigate and test before making the switch. Shouldn't take more than 30 seconds of reading this for the wheels to start spinning...

Tim Mangan's whitepaper on 64 bit TS is a must read:
