Hi all,

Following a powercut, an x3650 M4 refuses to start-up. The lightpath pull-out panel identifies a "board" problem.
We've tried all the usual; completely unpowering it, reseating the PSUs, RAM, internal cables etc, but it's having none of it.

Problem is, there's some data we really want to get off the SAS drives. There's a RAID1 (2xDisks) and RAID10 (4xDisks) volumes. I believe the RAID controller is a M5110e.

What are the options here, if any? We have other IBM/Lenovo servers, but if we just moved the RAID10 disks to another server, would it be realistic to expect it to "just work" (will the other controller detect they're part of a RAID?), or are we going to have to look down recovery avenues - even though the disks are likely not corrupt/damaged themselves?

I would be very grateful for any advice, guidance or sharing of experiences.

Best Regards,

Elliot
