Hi everyone,
I have a x3500 that crapped out during a BIOS update. In the Problem Determination and Service Guide, it gives you the step by step process to recover, but that has lead to a few questions. It states in step 9,
"Turn on the server and the monitor.
After the update session is completed, remove the CD from the drive and turn
off the server."

First off, the Update CD that it is referring to, which one is it? The one that I was using for the first update that crapped out? (I was using the ibm_fw_bios_spe174a_anyos_i386.iso image from ) If it isn't that one, which one should be used?

The other thing that I was wondering was, when the server is doing the update recovery session, how do you know what is going on? When I flip Sw4 and turn on the server, there is no video on the monitor. If there isn't suppose to be video, how do you know how the update is progressing and when it has completed?
Thanks,
Ted
