x305 and Windows Server 2003 R2

I have an x305 (8673) server with 2.5GB RAM and a 120GB IDE hard drive that I am trying to install Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard on and am having problems. I have ServerGuide 7.3. The installation does not show R2 as one of the choices but I found some information on the Internet suggesting that it was supported. When I try to run the ServerGuide installation, and choose Window Server 2003 Standard, it tells me that it can't find the files. Any suggestions?

As R2 is essentially Windows 2003 with a companion CD that has provides extra functionality, a standard installation of Windows 2003 standard should work fine. I haven't used serverguide in awhile but since you are running with an IDE drive have you just tried installing Windows 2003 without serverguide?

Thanks for the response. I have tried. It took about 8 hours to format the drive and when it was finished installing, it blue-screened. then I got a copy of Windows server 2003 Standard and installed it with ServerGuide. Worked great. When Serverguide asks for the O/S disk, it does not recognize the R2 disk if you selected 2003 Standard as you O/S.
Any other thoughts?

It doesn't matter once you have installed 2003 Standard successfully via ServerGuide you can install the R2 components from the second CD directly from Windows. The question is do you actually need the R2 components?
