I have inherited a X11C 25.30 at our 911 center. I have some troubleshooting experience on this platform, but no installation experience.

I found some handwritten documentation from the initial setup and I am totally confused at the routing going to the 2616 PSAP phones with MCA cards. The lines have MADN key appearances on each set.

The example is:
Route # 1-16
TNB 3 0 0 0 - 3 0 0 7 (ATDN 5001) (LD 14)
RTMB 1 - 8
ACOD 5101 - 5116 (LD 14)
CDN 5001 (DFDN 5601-5616) (LD 23)
ACDN 5601 (NCFW 5701-5716) (LD 23)
NCFW 5701 - 5716 (LD 23)
NAME 911-1 - 911-8 (LD 95)
MADN keys 1-16

There are 8 trunks indicated (0-7), but it seems there are 16 routes (1-16)

Could someone explain this call flow to me?

In EMEA Option 11C software was provided with prebuilt routes to speed up installation.
These routes will not contain a trunk but will be configured for different Service Types.
Some distriutors will remove the pre built route to tidy up the system, most don't.
I believe the list below are the defaults.
TYPE ROUTE ACCESS CODE

BOTHWAY 0 1500
1 1501
INCOMING 2 1502
3 1503
OUTGOING 4 1504
5 1505
DID 10 1510
11 1511
12 1512
MUSIC TRUNKS 50 1550
PAGING TRUNKS 60 1560
TIE LINES
AC15 20 71
TO TO
29 719
4 WIRE E&M 30 720
31 721
2 WIRE E&M 32 722
33 723

Be careful of what you change in programming. You probablyhave a PlantCML Vest PSAP application. The application is VERY dependant on the programming of the 2216 call taker positions and routes.

If you do something that changes the 2216 display when a call is delivered (even the name of a route) it could impact the Vesta application.

Thanks for the help. especially the prebuilt routes info.

The PSAP interfaces with a Combix Computer system through the MCA cards.

I'm away from my area right now for training, but will look at the system when I get back home.

Since I first posted this I have come a llllooonnnggg way in the programming of this switch. I have completed the programming of my new E911 CS 1000E HA.

The customer wanted the original setup (and the new one) to have the PSAP lines (analog DID trunks) to appear as keys on the 2616s. To acheive this, I had to build an ACD with no memebers and a NCFW to the DN for the key on the set...a CDN DFWD to the ACDN...the trunk ATDN to the CDN...and one trunk per route with a total of 14 trunk/route/CDN/ACD/keys per set...nuts...totally nuts, but it works.
