X WINDOWS !

Does anyone have any resources or sites that they can supply me with for X windows on AIX.
Also I cannot start a session as the following error is supplied when i issue the xterm command:

xterm Xt error: Can't open display:

I have tried doing the DISPLAY= command etc. still to no avail.

Help please !

If you are on the console type:

export DISPLAY=10.3.2.1:0 (thats, YOURIP:0)

If you are telnetted in, you can't use this...

Is there anyway around this then ?
Im telnetted to the RS6000 just to be sure is it the ip of the RS that goes after the DISPLAY=

It would be the IP of the PC you are using. If you are using Windows to access the RS, download Xwin32. It's a free demo product...

After it is installed on the PC, start X win32. Add a session by putting the IP of the RS and set it to "broadcast".

Once saved, double-click the session name... The xwin will start...

It's easy though, Hummingbird Exceed is a nice (expensive) alternative.
