Hello,
I have a Compax TRU64 server, a Sun , and a HP-UX server. From my desktop I connect with these server through Reflection X software.
Now a RS/6000 has been added. Connecting to it by means of Reflection is around 10 times slower than to the other servers.
In order to have Visual Age C++ environment working on the AIX, we needed to adjust the font settings of Reflection X to : "tcp/10.34.20.43:7100 sun ibm dec korcom chicom jpncom 75dpi 100dpi misc hp" In this way fonts are downloaded from the RS/6K.
When I use a Hummingbird Exceed trial version, we have the same problem : displaying a splash screen from V.A.C++ takes up to 3 minutes (enough time for 2 coffees)
Using VA.C++ from the console gives us a good performance, but of course we have only one console.
Any ideas ?
