x-box connection from wireless computer

My PC is using a wireless linksys motem that runs off a webstar router provided by roadrunner.I want to run a ethernet cable from my PC to the XBox when I attempt the Xbox informs me that it needs an IP address.Can this be done and how thanks.Roadrunner stated that this can only be done by running the ethernet cable dirctly from the router.The problem is the router is not located near my PC and that why I connect wireless.Thanks

You could attempt to bridge the wireless connection to the Wired one on your laptop. Right click the wireless connection, there should be a Bridge connection option this Should then allow the XBOX to obtain an IP from the router through your laptop.
