Hi all,

I am working on a project in MS Office Publisher 2007. The view I have whilst working consists of what looks like a white page in the middle of a grey background which can be moved with scroll bars right and bottom.

When I preview the site the left of the white working view page is neatly against the left edge of the window in the browser, but everything to the right only stretches out about half way across the screen making it look not centred and frankly rubbish!

Is there a view in publisher that lets you work within the parameters that you will actually see once the site is published to the web or is it just trial and error depending on the browser / size of your screen etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Best Regards,

Naf.

The problem is that you are trying to use a desktop publishing program to create a website. Yes, it can be done but you cannot expect perfect results. Left justified sites is one on the undesired results.

You may also want to look at your site with various browsers. Publisher sites often appear messed up in browsers other than IE.

If yiu are serious about designing a website, use a program developed for that purpose.
