wx1200 802.1 acquire ip address

I have a new managed wireless network (3COM wx1200). if I configure it to use WEP then i can get an ipaddress from our DHCP server and roam our LAN, however if i change this to 802.1x / WPA security then although the system authenticates using the certificate and the IAS server logs me as being accepted the windows XP laptop (the second model I have tried) sticks on acquiring IP address - Presumably what I am trying to do is possible but why have I got this problem?

Hi

Make sure you have the lastest update for your device, I had a similar problem and asked around and someone gave me the same tip for my Netgear wireless router. I search the site and downloaded the lastest and to my amazement it fixed the problem. My unit was brand new yet already had an old firmware version on it.

Hope it helps as WPA is the way to go.
