Could someone please explain why when I enter my website nwstaffing.com into my browser (IE 5.5) it doesn't forward itself to Other sites I enter, i.e.)yahoo.com auto-forward themselves to How can I alter the coding of my site to have this auto-forwarding occur?

Thank you!
J

You have to have an "A" record set up in DNS for the www. entry, and you have to make sure your web server knows to handle the the same as the regular whatever.com entry. This all pretty much handled on your nameserver (wherever your domain is hosted) and your web server (wherever your site is hosted).

Hope This Helps!

Ok, thanks! The site is hosted by an ISP, should I contact them to fix this, or is this something I can do myself?

You will have to contact them. They should be able to correct everything from their end.

There needs to be either an A record or a CNAME record made in the dns
server to point the the right direction. Also there needs to be a
host header (IIS windows term) made in the web server to indicate the at the same location as the non www.

essentially just a third level domain name (some call it a virtual)
something like youName.yoursite.com it's handled the same way.

Some companies still use the level as their web address and the
second level domain name for their internal network. The physically
be pointed at a different location as the non www.
