I have MTS Components causing IIS & to shut down. How do i know this? cause i deleted the MTS package and the services never went down. These same MTS package never caused this kind of problem in other NT 4.0 server. Recently, migrated the whole thing to new server. These MTS components were built with "require a transaction" but the components started to just hang and eventually timeout in the new server. So, i made them "does not support transaction" which fixed the components to work fine but now i'm running into problem with IIS and shutting down randomly. Any advice?

THanks

Was the new server built in the same way as the other servers? i.e. was the software installed in the same order?

I hate to suggest you look at this, as I'm starting to form the opinion that recent MS software is back to the old Windows 3.1 deal of having to install packages in the order they were released (Word, then Excel, then Access)

Good luck tracking it down.
