WTH does CH stand for?

can someone please tell me what what CH stands for on a phone record? never seen that before, just curious, thanks!

Thanks for the responses...so it's like a conference bridge line or what? in this instance 6999 would be the number everyone calls in to via the CH key on their phone? or am I way off base?

If you are on a call, talking to your friend, then press the CH d 6999, you will silently conference in 6999.

Normal conference requires you to put the call in Conference Hold. No Hold Conference was developed for 911 centers so you did not have to leave the caller to add another person on. You just press it and the first party does not know you are adding someone else on to the call.

I am guessing 6999 is voice mail? Someone was just playing?

perhaps they're using it to transfer someone to a voicemail box by conferencing in the voice mail system and finding their box...just a guess, not really sure what they're using it for if at all.

Or for those users who kept reprogramming the ADL key to a wrong number.
Unlike an ADL or CA (Conference Autodial) the CH D key can't be reprogrammed to a different number at the set.
