Okay, this is an interesting issue. I am using Windows XP and Outlooks Express 6 for my email. I had one hotmail account set up and 3 POP email accounts set up. My email has been saved previously and I have moved the files back where they are suppoesed to be manually. I load up OE and everything is there. A couple times later all of them are missing. WTF?

Any ideas? Mike Wills

Im hoping that WTF stands for World Taekwondo Federation and not something else!! :)
When you say you saved your emails and that, what exactly did you do?? Save the .dbx files?? or did you archive the mails?? or did you go to file save as while in the mail and save the mail as a .msg???

Your Hotmail, are you using Outlook to check that account????

what you can do is do a search for *.dbx and see if any come up, you should see some large files, eg inbox.dbx or outbox.dbx.....if so tell me where you find them... Jay~

Yes, I saved the .dbx files. Yes, I am using OE to check my hotmail.

I found out what the issue is: McAfee email scanning is doing it. I just don't know if there is a patch or where to start looking for a patch. The work around is to disable email virus scanning.

If anyone knows where to find the patch, let me know. Mike Wills

try turning off scanning for .dll files instead of turning off Email Scanning, see if that makes a difference..?? Jay~
