Hi All
I've got an isolated test network which has no internet connectivity (indeed, I'm not allowed to connect it to our production environment!), and have been using WSUS in this environment by downloading the updates from an internet connected machine, copying them to CD and then importing them into the isolated network WSUS server, and the rolling them out from there. This worked fine until a few weeks ago, when it suddenly stopped working. It seems to copy a copy of files, and then just stops.
I think the problem may be that the machine is trying to connect to the internet for some reason, (possibly to check that the Windows version is authentic?) and wondered if there is any way I can disable this so that the updates roll out without the need of an internet connection?
Anyone got any ideas? Just a real pain to be trying to update things manually on all the machines, be really useful to get it running again.
many thanks,
C
