I configured WSUS on a big network and for some reason it's not detecting few PC's and all Servers.

I checked on all PC's and servers to make sure group policy is applied and nothing seems to be wrong with group policy. I had user restarted their PC's two to three time and WSUS still cannot detect those PC's and servers. I also ran wuauclt.exe / detectnow.

What could be wrong?

I tried to delete the key in the registry and it worked fine.
thanks

Prokchoexpress, How is SUSID created for each PC?

If it's created by WSUS, why it will give duplicate name?

Does SUSID use computer SID?

Is there any way to access WSUS database on WMSDE?

I'm pretty sure that the client creates the ID the first time it runs and then reports it to the WSUS.
I don't think the SUSID and the Windows SID are related in any way (it might use the SID to generate it but i'm almost certain this isn't the case).
You can use Enterprise Manager from full SQL server to view the database but it might break the licence agreement why would you want to do this?

how can DC talk with WSUS? MY DC are in domain controller ou and I have workstation and server OU's for WorkStations and Servers. GP are applied on Workstation and Server OU for WSUS. I dont want to move DC into server OU, what are my other options?
I also tried to put Enterprise Domain controller group along with Authenticated users in GP but didnt work.

Create a new GPO and apply it to the domain controllers OU.

You can check the SUSID by logging on to the affected clients and using regedit to view the registry key i posted.
