A couple of months ago we approved a group of patches for our 2003 SP1 servers, the patches were applied to all but three servers that could not be rebooted at that time. The three servers showed the yellow updates available shield for three weeks and then stopped displaying it, since then they have failed to check in with the WSUS server and i am having to use the MBSA to check for updates. I have tried the usual fixes like Dial-a-fix, emptying the software distribution folder and /detectnow but nothing will get them to check in. All our other servers and clients are checking in and applying updates 2k/xp and 2003.
I also tried to reinstall the client but the latest version is installed so it fails.

Can anyone else provide any ideas?

Thanks.

Never mind it's sorted now. The popup was annoying someone so they disabled AU using a policy that i hadn't seen and forgot to log it.
