Put simply, I previously declined IE7 for XP, but now I want to approve it. The system says that I cannot.

How do I work around this? There has to be a way to reverse a previous decision.

Also, on a related note, at a different site most of clients are XP Japanese, and I have approved IE7 for XP, yet it isn't being pushed to any clients and the report says that it is 'Not appliccable' for them. I'm downloading updates in both Japanese and English, but when I look at the details for the IE7 update it doesn't list Japanese as being one of the supported languages!?? Anyone know what is going on here?

Actually, forget that second part. I just noticed I previously declined a different version of the IE7 update - one that supports Japanese.

However, I can't approve it!!

I'm back to square one. How do I approve an update that has been declined?

Have you checked to see if that IE7 update has been superseded by another, this sometimes happens and then you can't approve the older version. Check the update properties and it should tell you the KB number of the superseding update.

Thanks, but it isn't superseded: it has expired apparently, and there is nothing more recent for me to approve :-(

It was only released on the 5th of October...

What is the KB number. My WSUS shows a new cumulative update this month for IE7.
