Hopefully somebody will be able to answer this.
What I want to do is setup a Team Discussion group in WSS under SBS2008 that will act like a mailing list. So if an outside party sends an email to the discussion group (using it's email address) then any reply to that in the Team Discussion site will send them the reply back. This will allow the outside party to participate in the discussion without having to use the actual Team Discussion group through Companyweb.
So effectively it will be like a mailing list with the messages being stored in the Team Discussion area. The reason I want to have it all in the Team Discussion area is that this is a project and has it's own site under WSS.
From my tests the emails come in from an outside email or an internal email into the Team Discussion just fine, however any replies stay in the Team Discussion site and are not sent to the sender of the original message.
My only other way to get this to work is to use a Public Folder in Exchange but not sure how I would (or could) link that to WSS.
Any help appreciated. I'm new to WSS (but not SBS) and this is the first really useful version I have tried.
