Hello,
I am doing a move of our WSS and SPS environment to a totally new hardware setup and I am setting it up with WSS SP2. There are some new features in the stsadm.exe tool.
I am doing most of the work by scripting and found out that with WSS SP2 Kerberos is the default authentication method.
So when creating virtual servers, extending them, create content databases the script will fail if you are using NTLM as authentication. Now with WSS SP2 you have to specify that you want to use NTLM instead of Kerberos.
Information about what is new in WSS SP2 can be found at
I just though I would mention this here, if anyone else encounters the same problem.
Cheers,
Thomas
