DO you think WSS 3.0 could be used an office filing solution?
I suppose it would need to be configured around how the metadata is stored against each file...
Is the Information Management just linked to destroying files after a certain amount of time, etc. or are there other areas involved with filing?
On another note, I believe users would need to email copies of emails directly to WSS and file them in a project folder. I believe this can be automatically done in WSS and subject headers, etc. extracted automatically. Is this more extensive in MOSS?
IRM can also craete labels and barcodes for your documents as well as managing the lifetimes of your documents. Using that along with content types and office 2007 you'll be able to force users to add metadata to documents that are saved to sharepoint.
I think the incoming email capabilities are the same in both wss and moss.
