OK, this is really weird.
We're running WSS 2 and have been for several years, always using AD to authenticate and SQL Server as the backend. One of my users called me yesterday and said she was getting an error when trying to upload a MS Word document into a shared folder on her departmental site.
The error she was seeing is this:
“You do not have the correct permissions. Please contact the server administrator”.
She's been able to do this in the past and I checked her permissions to this folder and she's set to this:
View, insert, edit, delete items; change list settings
Then my phone started ringing off the hook and about 8 other users are screaming that they are experiencing the same thing.
WTF is going on? .... it's almost like something "broke" within WSS... I've restarted the SQL Server app and even rebooted the server, but it still doesn't work.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
Tom.
