Hi, this might be old news to most of you, but just caught me by surprise this weekend so thought I'd share.

- If all users are receiving "Invalid Logon/Password Error" when trying to logon to WSO, it may just be that the date/time needs to be sync'd. If there is a difference in time (not sure of the limit yet, mine was off by 4 mins.) between the WSO server and MSS, then you will receive the error. Just adjusting the time fixed it.

Have a nice day!

Yes it must be 60 seconds or less. The install guide tells you 5 minutes but the is wrong.

Mine are both pulling from NTP, and the times are identical and I still get this error every now and then...

Other thoughts?

Thanks,
CJH

Are you running anything else on the WSO server or is it stand alone?

Does it just do it one time and then work or does it stop for a hour?

Also on the time i assume your MSS is using NTP and your MAS is clocking from it.

I set the WSO to clock from MAS1.

1.) Dedicated server for both Web Client and WSO.
2.) 1+ times, and then it works.
3.) MAS clocks from MSS.

Should the dedicated server clock to the MSS then?

Thanks,

MM 3.0, MSS, Two MAS's

I would like to set up our MSS for NTP as well; then have my MAS's clock from it. Would you be able to provide the process to accomplish this? Thanks

To administer an NTP server:

On the Administer Linux Date and Time page, select the NTP Time Server radio button.
In the NTP Time Server field, enter the Fully qualified Domain Name or IP address of the NTP server.
Note: If the system uses a Windows Domain Controller on the corporate LAN, that server can also be used as the NTP server.

Click Add NTP Server.
Click Save.
Verify that the system confirms the change occurred successfully.
If the change occurred successfully, the system logs a message in the Server Events log about the changes. The system does not reset to the new date and time until the system is restarted.

Stop and then start the messaging software. See Stopping the messaging software and Starting the messaging software for more information

Thank you Ken. Now how do I get the two MAS's to sync with the MSS?

MAS1 is already set to clock from the mss and any other mas's will use the time from the domain controller (MAS1) you just need to run the time.bat on each mas after you set the time on the MSS.

Just FYI this is all on the documentation CD that comes with the system.
