I've recently heard of an IT franchise business called WSI. I'm currently looking into it but I was wondering if anyone had any experience in dealing with them?
I wouldn't know WSI from a bar of soap but I can tell you that in general a franchise is not a very good deal for the franchisee. Basically you are assuming all of the risks of running a business and only after you hive off a fair percentage of the proceeds to the parent company can you set about trying to recoup some of the buy-in price.
Tread carefully but I wish you well.

The main advantage of becoming a franchisee is to hitch a ride on a well known and respected business name. Ask yourself if you consider WMI to be a well known name.
The second ?advantage? is that franchising is sold to make the business side of the operation look easy. With or without franchise you need to have a clear understanding of the business process if you are to succeed.
Consider these two issues first, then ask yourself what you are spending the money on.
