We have a wsc file wrapping an exe file installed on a client machine. We then included this wsc file in an asp.net application so that when users access the asp.net application, the exe file located on their machines will be initialized. The problem we're having is that the exe file is not initialized when the wsc file is called from the asp.net application. We created a stand-alone html file that calls this same wsc file and when we open the html file, it's able to call the exe file installed on the client machine. Is there any permissions issue in IIS 6.0 that restricts the wsc file to initialize the exe file? Also, another information that might help is that when we open the stand-alone html file, we get an active x warning that says the unsigned active x content was blocked. We then allow the active x content to run, which initializes the exe file in the client machine.
Thanks a lot for any help!
