When I connect my computer to linksys router WRT54GL v1.1, the computer displays LAN speed of only 10Mbps. But when I connect my computer directly to DSL modem, I get a speed of 100 Mbps. I know that my internet speed is less than 10Mbps, but I want the local speed to be 100 Mbps.
Does anybody know what is the issue with the router.

This could be caused by a number of things. You could have a bad patch cord. The auto-negotiate mode of the Ethernet port may not be working or disabled. You may have software issues in the PC network connection so check the configuration in the control panel.
