WRT54G Wireless Router 1

Having an issue with this router. What is happening is my WAN port will not work at all. I can not power cycle or reset the router when it is plugged in is in limbo mode. Wont do anything. As far as i know holding the reset button for 15 - 20s should reset it. I have held it for over 2 min and nothing. Is the router on its last legs? What should I do?

I have had this happen when the firmware update failed because my computer lost connection. Mine was bricked. On the brighter side, I saw them at BestBuy for ~$50.

You could contact Linksys Tech Support and ask them what the procedure is to correct corrupted firmware. I would think they have one, if not then I guess the only solution is the previous post.
