I've had this linksys wireless router for about a year and have never had trouble. Last night I realized that my internet seemed to just go down so I went to the router and dsl modem and turned them both off, waited 30 seconds, and then turned them both on.

Regardless, after powering on the router it seems to start fine (all the lights go on), but then about two seconds later it does it again. However, not all of the lights are doing this only the 4 connection ones in that grid. So I unplugged everything from it and just gave it power, again every 2 seconds it restarts itself. It's like it's working fine for a second and then it resets those ports.

If I have my pc plugged in everytime it resets the popup "connection lost," will appear.

I made sure the reset button in the back wasn't depressed and then I did a hard reset (held down for 10 seconds), still didn't work. Then I just unplugged it all last night and tested it this morning, still no luck.

I think the thing is just dead (for no apparant reason), but I'm going to call support later today, but I thought someone here might have some insight.

Too bad because this router has been problem free since the day I got it out of the box.

Unplug, do not turn off with a power switch the modem.

With the linksys still powered, hold the reset button for at least twenty seconds. All the lights should go out, there should be some flashing, and release the button only when the red diag led goes off.

Now unplug the Linksys.
Now power up the modem and wait until it stabilizes. There will not be a lite to indicate a connection locally.

Now turn on the linksys. Wait until stabilizes.

Now reboot your workstation(s).

Sounds like you have a power adapter problem. That usually causes the router to reboot. Process an RMA for the adapter.
